Mobile Telescopic Stacker for Port Loading in Brazil

In March 2026, SANTO supplied and installed a customized mobile radial telescopic stacker at a Brazilian port. The port uses the machine to load soybeans and soybean meal onto barges.

SANTO designed the stacker for a handling capacity of up to 900 tonnes per hour. The project team completed on-site installation and commissioning, and the port has brought the equipment into operation.

Matching the Stacker to Grain and Barge Handling

The port needed equipment that could handle large grain volumes and accommodate changing barge loading positions. SANTO tailored the configuration to the characteristics of soybeans and soybean meal, along with the port’s operating requirements.

The telescopic boom allows operators to adjust the discharge reach. Radial movement helps them position the discharge point across the loading area. Together, these functions give the port flexibility when directing material into barges.

Supporting Daily Port Operations

The stacker now supports the port’s outbound grain handling operations. The customer praised its stable performance and the configuration’s suitability for the site.

This project combines a specific material requirement, a defined handling capacity and an adjustable loading arrangement. It shows how a customized radial telescopic stacker can support grain loading at a working port.
