In July 2025, SANTO supplied a three-machine copper ore stacking system for a customer in Kazakhstan. The configuration combines a TU1215 truck unloader, a TS820 tracked conveyor and a TS820R radial stacker.
The system handles more than 300 tonnes per hour and reaches a maximum stacking height of over 8 metres.
From Crushing Plant to Stockpile
The customer operates a copper ore crushing line and transports the crushed ore to the stacking area by truck.
The equipment follows a clear material handling sequence:
- Trucks deliver crushed copper ore to the TU1215 truck unloader.
- The TS820 tracked conveyor transfers the ore toward the stockpiling area.
- The TS820R radial stacker distributes the material into the stockpile.
This arrangement connects truck unloading and stockpiling in a continuous conveying route.
Moving Away from Loader-Based Stacking
The customer previously used a loader to build stockpiles. The new configuration transfers ore from the receiving point to the stacking discharge, reducing reliance on repeated loader movements.
The customer reported straightforward operation and lower labour and equipment maintenance costs compared with the previous stacking method.
With a stacking height above 8 metres, the system also supports taller stockpiles. The combination of truck receiving, tracked transfer and radial stacking addresses the customer’s specific copper ore handling process.
