In May 2023, a customer in Thailand used a SANTO TU1215 truck unloader to handle corn. Trucks discharge corn directly into the receiving section, and the conveyor transfers the material onward.
The equipment has a 1,200 mm belt width and an overall length of 15 m. The project specifies a handling capacity of 500 tonnes per hour.
Direct Receiving from Delivery Trucks
The TU1215 connects truck unloading with the next stage of the customer’s grain handling process.
Instead of creating a separate ground stockpile at the receiving point, trucks discharge directly into the machine. The conveyor then carries the corn away from the intake area.
This arrangement gives the site a clear material route from truck delivery to onward transfer.
Matching the Equipment to Corn Handling
Corn handling requires a configuration that suits the material and the receiving process. Belt speed, intake geometry and discharge arrangements all influence how the equipment transfers grain.
For this project, the TU1215 provides a direct truck receiving solution within a 15 m overall machine length.
The customer reported efficient operation and straightforward controls. The installation demonstrates how a truck unloader can connect incoming corn deliveries with a site’s conveying process through a single receiving and transfer unit.
